We have a vacancy in our influential Student Services team at Lakes College and are looking for a dedicated and motivated individual to be part of the team.
If you are from an Advice & Guidance/HR/Recruitment/Coaching/Pastoral background or work in an environment that involves problem solving and helping others then we would love to hear from you. Experience in the sector in not necessary, we are looking for somebody with excellent customer service and communication skills who enjoys working with people to achieve their dreams.

As a Careers Advisor, you will provide careers information, advice and guidance to College applicants and existing students, on both a 1-1 and group basis. As part of the role, you will assist with the planning and execution of a variety of recruitment events to contribute to the achievement of growth targets and KPI’s.
You will support the colleges Director of Students Services and Careers Lead in the delivery of an effective schools engagement plan which will include activity such as – delivery of careers guidance workshops, presentations and liaison with curriculum to plan and develop a range of activities for delivery.
Throughout the learner journey, you will be expected to provide high quality administration and customer service, liaising with different departments across the College and externals.
The successful applicant will assist to implement and embed the college careers strategy, focusing on 1-1 appointments, workshops and organising events and activities for existing students.
The successful candidate will possess a Level 3 qualification in working with young people, customer service or a relevant subject; as well as 5 GCSE's (including Maths & English).
Holding or being willing to work towards Level 4 qualification in CEIG is considered advantageous.
