Lakes College is a technical vocational Further Education College delivering education and training to full-time and part-time learners and apprentices to degree level. We have a vibrant campus in West Cumbria with state of the art vocational workshops and resources, including the National College for Nuclear Northern Hub.

CAREERS LEADER
Salary:£25,454 with potential for incremental progression up to £26,951
You will support students to make informed decisions, assess their values, interests, abilities and skills and relate these to opportunities for employment, further study and
training. As part of the role you will encourage students to aspire, make good choices and understand what they need to do in order to reach and succeed in their chosen
career.
The successful applicant will ensure that all students participate in a high quality careers education, including meaningful encounters with employers and assisting with UCAS applications. This is coupled with appropriate opportunities for students to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes needed to make successful choices and manage their careers.
This role also involves promoting the key employability skills of students, including careers education within the curriculum.
We are looking for someone who has the appropriate qualification in CEIAG at Level 4 or above (or who is working towards this), coupled with experience in careers and
guidance. If required we will support you to undertake a CEIAG qualification at Level 6
