This role provides the opportunity to live and work at the edge of the Lake District National Park, in an Ofsted rated 'Good' College (2024), perfectly situated in the heart of some of the country's foremost engineering and manufacturing companies, with proximity to the growing nuclear industry. 

 

The College is award winning for its curriculum design and development, and the successful candidate will be fully supported in building on our high-quality and student-centred curricula. 

 

We are passionate about our apprenticeship provision and as such, this is a critical post with responsibility for all provision types in our Engineering and Motor Vehicle Department (i.e., study programmes, apprenticeships, and adults).


The post-holder will need to have a proven track record of leadership and management within the education sector, with the ability to develop and lead cross college teams, influence others and introduce introducing innovative solutions to meet challenges. 


You will provide leadership and management oversight by acting as the accountable person and a direct line manager for your curriculum areas. As a Curriculum Operations Leader, you will be accountable for curriculum planning, monitoring and evaluation of the curriculum area, to ensure achievement of targets to include, recruitment, attendance, progress and achievement rates as detailed in the KPI’s.  


Working closely with the relevant Curriculum Director, you will ensure our continuous drive to achieve the departments objectives, targets and continuous improvement plans, which align to the wider Strategic Plan of the College.  


Candidates will hold a Degree or equivalent and have relevant industry experience that will add significant value to the department. You must also hold a recognised teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE or BEd).
