Lakes College is a technical vocational Further Education College delivering education and training to full-time and part-time learners and apprentices to degree level. We have a vibrant campus in West Cumbria with state of the art vocational workshops and resources, including the National College for Nuclear Northern Hub.

ABOUT THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity has arisen to develop your career and contribute to the next phase of Lakes College’s ambitious plans and relentless commitment to ensure staff and learners meet their full potential.
You will be responsible in liaison with Curriculum Operational Leader for the design and development of courses related to Engineering & Motor Vehicles to meet economic priorities, business growth and defined strategic initiatives. Working closely with the relevant Curriculum Operational Leader you will ensure our continuous drive for quality improvements is sustained leading to excellent outcomes for all learners.
You will provide leadership and management oversight of the administration of specified courses, ensuring that all relevant information and systems are updated accurately and timely in accordance with Lakes College values, policies and procedures, satisfying audit requirements where appropriate.
There will be a teaching commitment of 16 hours per week associated to this role
Candidates will hold a Degree in a related subject or have relevant industry recognised qualifications that will add significant value to the department. You will also hold a recognised teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE or BEd). Holding a management qualification is considered advantageous.
